The holidays have passed us by and after all of the excitement as the end of one year brings us into the next is gone…we are left exhausted and COLD!  Every Winter I concoct many delicious warm treats from the bar: The Chocolate Covered Almond with Stoli Vanilla, Amaretto & Hot Cocoa, The Spiced Cinnamon Coffee with Fireball Whiskey & RumChata Liqueur and the Flaming Warm & Toasty with Bacardi 151 and Fire Roasted Cinnamin & Nutmeg to name a few, and although these fine beverages raise our temperatures and warm our bellies, I can’t help but focus my attention this Winter on our delicious Blood Orange & Ginger Margarita!!

When the cold temperatures come in, the lucky bunch get to head south for the Winter while the rest of us are stuck shoveling our driveways and being chilled to the bone!  Well, this margarita is sure to make you forget your Winter woes; so close your eyes and feel the warmth of the Southern states with the sweet and salty flavors of my new favorite drink!  Enjoy!!!


Blood Orange & Ginger Margarita

1 ½ oz. Jose Cuervo Gold

1 oz. Ginger Simple Syrup

¼ oz. each Fresh Lemon & Lime Juices

1oz. Blood Orange Puree

Garnish: Candied Ginger/Salt Rim
