Kate & Ron

I have had the pleasure of working with Kate and her family at The Fifth Season for several years, so when she and Ron chose us to cater their wedding we knew it was going to be extra special!  Kate is an old soul and her sense of style is easy and free and she wanted her wedding to be natural and beautiful. She and Ron chose a gorgeous old tree with a heart shaped knot in the center in a secluded part of Frank Melville Park as the spot to recite their vows.

Guests enjoyed Mint & Lime Infused Water before the ceremony and enjoyed His and Hers Signature Cocktails.  Kate chose a Fresh Apple Cocktail and Ron a “Ronald Palmer.”  Hors D’oeuvres included Vidalia Onion Soup Shooters with Mini Grilled Gruyere Cheese Sandwiches, Red Wine Poached Pears with Brie on a Walnut Buttered Crostini, Kobe Beef Sliders with North Fork Potato Chips, and Maryland Crab Cakes with Old Bay Remoulade.

The Bates House was the setting for the reception.  The party was in full swing with Kate’s brothers providing the evening’s musical entertainment.  Kate’s Sister in Law, Lorraine, an accomplished pastry chef, made the couple’s wedding cake.
